Slow Food, Slow Fashion, Slow Gardening – and now, Slow Circus. With just a few odds and ends they found in their workshop, Jean-Paul Lefeuvre and Didier André get to work with remarkable precision. A plank of wood, a trowel, a Bocce ball, a sledgehammer – these simple objects become partners in crime, and at times, even steal the spotlight from these pioneers of contemporary circus. The ring is no longer the longtime duo’s preferred range of motion. This time, they move within a box.
Is it a pétanque court? A tennis court? Or perhaps its a giant billiard table? Whatever it is, the rules of play are straight out of a sandbox – just in slow motion.
«Parblex!» is a universe of the absurd, served with a generous dose of mischief.
